Medical Exercise and Training
At Minnesota Sport and Spine we believe that our relationship with patients should extend beyond physical therapy. We want you to be fit and well, not just functional! Our Medical Exercise and Training programs are designed to help you meet your personal health goals. Whether that is getting stronger, more physically fit, weight loss, or staying strong despite a chronic illness, we want to help.
All of our Medical Exercise and Training programs are overseen by a certified strength and conditioning specialist who works under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Participants will have access to the same medical grade exercise equipment that we use for our patients in physical therapy treatment.
AFTER CARE EXERCISE (ACE)
The ACE program is designed for individuals who have successfully completed their physical therapy treatment but would like continued guidance on exercises and strength training due to limitations and restrictions. It is a structured and supervised program focused on teaching how to safely perform and progress toward fitness goals while incorporating appropriate guidelines related to your individual history.
GENERAL FITNESS (G-FIT)
The G-Fit program is designed for individuals who are looking to participate in a fitness program for weight loss, building lean muscle mass, improving movement, and transforming fitness goals into reality. It is an independent program that includes a fitness assessment with our certified exercise specialist. Participants can schedule up to three exercise sessions each week and will receive one 30 minute personal training session for each month of enrollment.
SPORT SPECIFIC CONDITIONING (SPORxT)
This program is designed for both recreational and competitive athletes of all skill sets who are looking for sport-specific training to take their “game” to the next level. It is a supervised program that works in conjunction with your existing exercise program and/or training schedule.
CHRONIC CONDITIONS MANAGEMENT (C2)
This program is designed to help individuals with medical conditions like cancer, diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and fibromyalgia use exercise to improve their overall health. Participants will get a health and fitness program designed specifically for them and their condition. Each exercise session is performed under constant, one-on-one guidance monitoring form our certified exercise specialist and takes place in our medically oriented gym. Our staff will work with your doctor to communicate goals, progress and restrictions. Participants must have written permission from their doctor to participate in this exercise program.
We offer group pricing for our G-Fit and SPORxT programs. Some fitness programs may be eligible for full or partial reimbursement under your health plan. Please call us at (952)892-6777 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for additional program details and information on pricing.
